Jesse Earl Peterson

Jesse Earl Peterson, a dedicated foreman at Potetz Hardware in Liberty, breathed his last on May 20, 2024, in Kingwood, Texas. Born on August 13, 1948, in Dayton, Texas, he lived a life steeped in service and passion.

Jesse’s commitment extended beyond his professional endeavors. He also served with pride in the Air Force and he occasionally played the harmonica.

Aside from his career and military service, Jesse cherished various hobbies and interests, including rodeos – particularly bullriding – watching classic shows like Gunsmoke and the old Hawaii 5-0, and indulging in forensic-themed entertainment. A man of diverse tastes and talents, Jesse found joy in the simple pleasures life had to offer.

One of Jesse’s proudest accomplishments was his time playing youth baseball during his childhood. Additionally, his faith was a cornerstone of his life.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Brenda Reed, devoted son Stormie Reed (Rachel), precious grandson Ethan Reed, caring sister Gwen Lunceford, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will dearly miss him.

In remembrance of Jesse Earl Peterson’s remarkable journey through life, a Graveside Service will be held on May 24, 2024, at Guedry Cemetery in Batson. The service will commence at 2:00 PM to honor and celebrate the life of a man whose memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew him.

May Jesse’s legacy continue to inspire all who were privileged to know him.
