Steven Lee Cline

Steven Lee Cline, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at his residence in Hankamer, Texas, on Monday, May 20, 2024. He was born on May 23, 1953, to the late Floyd Edward Cline, Sr. and Ruby Lee Behrend in Anahuac, Texas.

Steve was a man of simple pleasures and profound love for his family. He found joy in the simplicity of life, especially in his love for working outdoors, deer hunting, and fishing. His quiet demeanor belied a strong work ethic and a deep affection for those closest to him. Steve was known as a man of few words, but was always able to get his point across.  He worked as a heavy equipment operator in environmental services for 38 years at the same company.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, and maternal grandparents. His legacy of hard work, love for family, and appreciation for life’s simple joys will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.

In his 52 years of marriage, Steve shared a beautiful bond with his wife, Bonnie, who survives him. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. He leaves behind his daughters, Casey Chambliss and husband  Kolby, and Shanna Manders and husband Michael, all of Anahuac; his grandson, Garrett Nelson, also of Anahuac; step-father, Wayne Behrend of Old River, Texas, brothers,  Floyd  E. (Butch) Cline, Jr. and wife Beverly of Hankamer, Texas, and Bobby Behrend of Crosby, Texas. He also leaves behind a host of friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
