The Valley Players of Liberty, Texas, are thrilled to announce the upcoming debut of “High School Musical,” set to begin on June 21!
This eagerly anticipated production promises to delight audiences with its heartwarming tale of Troy Bolton, the basketball team’s standout player, and Gabriella Montez, a brainy new arrival at the school, as they challenge social norms and step out of their stereotypical roles. In a bold move, the duo decides to audition for the school musical, defying the expectations of their friends and classmates, who are determined to confine them to their traditional niches.
The leading roles will be played by Nolen Thompson as Troy Bolton, Adaiah Zamazal as Gabriella Montez, Reagan Mayo as Sharpay Evans, Nolan Myers as Ryan Evans, Alexia McCulloch as Taylor McKessie, and Alex Castillo as Chad Danforth.
Since March, the cast and crew have been working several nights a week to bring this show to life for theater-goers of Liberty County and surrounding areas, and are very excited for the opportunity to provide several nights of entertaining shows at the Valley Players theater within the Geraldine D. Humphreys Cultural Center, 1710 Sam Houston St., Liberty, Texas (also the location of Liberty Municipal Library).
“The cast is perfect. They are a lot of fun it work with – full of energy and enthusiasm. You are going to have a great time!” promises director Jackie Hartel Smith.

Oh my gosh, this sounds like so much fun! I remember watching High School Musical on repeat and even now, I still listen to the songs on YouTube Music https://youtube-music.pissedconsumer.com/review.html when I need a little pick-me-up. It’s awesome to see local talent bringing such an iconic show to life – break a leg, everyone! I bet the cast is having the best time rehearsing together. Can’t wait to see all the energy on stage!
