Funeral services will be held at Pace Stancil Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2024, for Hope Arlene LaFour, 65, who passed away June 8, 2024, at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas with her family by her side.
Interment will follow at Linney Creek Cemetery in Dayton, Texas.
Visitation will be at Pace Stancil Funeral Home on Friday, June 14, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Hope Arlene LaFour was born on July 18, 1958, in Dayton, Texas, to Roger and Judy. She was a lifelong resident of Moss Hill and was employed by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office as a Correctional Officer and had attended Open House Ministries in Liberty. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, and a cherished member of her community who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was known as “Big Mama” to her grandchildren who adored and loved her so much.
She is also survived by her Mother, Judy Norwood Melancon; Stepmother, JoAnn LeBlanc; Brothers, Rory LeBlanc and wife Janie, Robert “Tad” LeBlanc, Paul Melancon; Step-brothers, Daryl Bell and wife Robin, Roger Bell and wife Sherry; Sisters, Dawn Williamson and husband Joe, Amy Lewis and husband Adron; Sister-in-law, Sherri LeBlanc; Step-sister, Crystal Votaw and husband Daniel; and countless aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved deeply.
She was preceded in death by her Son, Craig LaFour, Father, Roger Dale LeBlanc Sr., Brother, Roger Dale LeBlanc Jr., Great-grandson, Legend Hopper and Stepdad, J.E. Melancon.
Pallbearers will be Kaleb LaFour, Chasidy LaFour, Jesse LaFour, Colt LaFour, Stuart Varnon and Gavin LeBlanc.
She will be loved and missed dearly by all.
The family would like to give special thanks to Christie Garza and Debbie Norwood, and friends and family for the compassionate care that was given to their mother and family.
