In the wake of the recent storms that have left a mark on Dayton and surrounding areas, the Small Business Administration (SBA), in partnership with the City of Dayton, is hosting a town hall meeting.
This important event aims to provide residents, private non-profits and businesses with valuable information about disaster recovery resources, including low-interest SBA disaster loans. The meeting is scheduled to take place at the Dayton Community Center, located at 801 S. Cleveland St., Room 300A, Dayton, Texas, on Monday, Aug. 12, from 5 to 6 p.m.
SBA disaster loans offer a lifeline for those affected by natural disasters, such as Hurricane Beryl and the storms that occurred from April 26 to June 5, 2024. These loans are designed to assist homeowners, renters, businesses, and non-profits in their recovery efforts. They provide an affordable option for those who have sustained physical damage or financial losses due to the disasters.
Key Features of SBA Disaster Loans:
- Homeowners and Renters: Loans are available to repair or replace damaged real estate and personal property, including vehicles.
- Businesses and Non-Profits: These entities can secure loans to repair or replace damaged property, machinery, equipment, and inventory. Additionally, SBA provides assistance for small businesses suffering financial losses due to the disaster.
- Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL): Available to small businesses and non-profits that experienced significant economic injury, even if they did not sustain physical damage.
