It is with great regret and profound sadness that we gather to say goodbye to our beloved Pastor Galdino Martínez Mentado, who passed away on August 10, 2024, leaving a legacy that will be forever engraved in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Pastor Martínez, born April 18, 1971, in Cadereyta de Montes, Querétaro, Mexico, touched the lives of many during his time with us.
Pastor Galdino Martínez received Christ in 1989, where he quickly sought a Hispanic United Pentecostal Church to be baptized in the Glorious Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, for the forgiveness of sins, according to the word of Acts 2:38, in Mexico City.
Later, with the help of God he came to the United States, where he was under the ministry of Pastor Víctor Manuel Parra as a member, deacon, youth leader and assistant pastor (14 years) at the Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Hispana in the city of Irving, Texas. He married in 2001 with Sister. Esmeralda Reyes, in Piedad Michoacán MX. being united in marriage by Pastor Víctor M. Parra. After serving in the Church of Irving, Texas, under the will of God and the approval of his Pastor Víctor Manuel Parra, he moved with his family to the city of Cleveland, Texas. It is there where he served the Lord Jesus as pastor of a Hispanic group for 10 years, and in the last 4 years of his life he dedicated them to serving God as a pastor in our beloved Hispanic United Pentecostal Church, in the city of Cleveland, Texas, where He shepherded a beautiful congregation that continues to grow and strengthen in the Lord Jesus to this day.
We will always remember Pastor Galdino Martínez as a humble, patient, passive, respectful, upright, fair, kind, wise, prudent, transparent and orderly pastor in the messages of the word of God, zealous for doctrine and holiness. He was a very happy, active shepherd and always liked to be presentable. She liked to dance, sing, and motivate to praise God in church. He was always subject to his superiors, both in the church and in his work, and above all, he was a Pastor of prayer and reading the word of God. Pastor Galdino loved the ministry that God had entrusted to him until the last day of his life, and he fought like a great warrior.
Pastor Martínez is survived by his beloved wife, Sister Esmeralda Martínez whose love and support was always unwavering, as well as her children Jared, Samuel, and Helen E. Martínez. They will always remember him as a true man of God, hardworking, responsible, friend, mentor, teacher, counselor, and a great father, husband and guide of his family. Pastor Galdino loved his beloved wife very much, respected her, cared for her, and honored her, always giving glory to God for the achievements of his family. When things didn’t go well, he used to say, “let’s move forward.” He always said, “First God and then my family.”
We will remember him as the priest of our home, the father who earned the respect, admiration, trust, and love of his children. He was also the husband who always wanted debts to be paid on time, the great husband who built an altar with his family to the Almighty God, so that God’s blessing would never be lacking in his home. And he was a father who always gave us the best until the last day, and he liked to read and always make notes. We will remember him as the father and husband who told us “No matter what happens, we are under the will of God, and God will help us move forward.”
He is also survived by his mother, Julia Mentado Reséndiz; the brothers Mauro, Moisés, Refugio and Francisco; as well as his sisters, Lourdes and Lucia, who will treasure the memories they shared with their beloved brother.
The final chapter of Pastor Martínez’s story will be commemorated through services in his honor. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at the Neal Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., where friends and loved ones will be able to offer their condolences and respects. The farewell service will follow on Friday, August 16, 2024, beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the same place. Pastor Martinez’s burial will take place immediately afterward at the Cleveland Memorial Cemetery located in Cleveland, Texas.
As we gather to honor the memory of Pastor Martinez, let us find comfort in the thought that he now rests in eternal peace with the glorious hope of eternal life in Christ Jesus. May his legacy of love, faith and kindness be a guiding light for us all as we remember and celebrate a life that touched so many in deep and lasting ways.

Es con gran pesar y profunda tristeza que nos reunimos para despedirnos de nuestro amado pastor Galdino Martínez Mentado, quien falleció el 10 de agosto de 2024, dejando un legado que quedará grabado para siempre en los corazones de quienes lo conocieron y amaron. El pastor Martínez, nacido el 18 de abril de 1971 en Cadereyta de Montes, Querétaro, México, tocó la vida de muchos durante su tiempo con nosotros.
El Pastor Galdino Martínez recibió a Cristo en el año 1989, donde rápidamente buscó una Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Hispana para ser bautizado en el Nombre Glorioso de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, para Perdón de los pecados, conforme a la palabra de Hechos 2:38, en la Ciudad de México DF.
Después, con la ayuda de Dios llegó a los Estados Unidos, donde estuvo bajo el ministerio del Pastor Víctor Manuel Parra como miembro, diácono, líder de jóvenes y asistente de pastor (14 años) en la Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Hispana en la ciudad de Irving, TX. Contrajo matrimonio en el año 2001 con la Hna. Esmeralda Reyes, en la Piedad Michoacán MX. siendo unidos en matrimonio por el Pastor Víctor M. Parra. Después de servir en la Iglesia de Irving, TX, bajo la voluntad de Dios y la aprobación de su Pastor Víctor Manuel Parra, se trasladó junto con su familia a la ciudad de Cleveland TX. Es allí donde sirvió al Señor Jesús como pastor de un grupo hispano por 10 años, y en los últimos 4 años de su vida los dedicó a servirle a Dios como pastor en nuestra amada Iglesia Pentecostal Unida Hispana, en la ciudad de Cleveland TX, donde pastoreó una preciosa congregación que hasta hoy continua en crecimiento y fortaleciéndose en el Señor Jesús.
Al Pastor Galdino Martínez siempre lo recordaremos como un pastor humilde, paciente, pasivo, respetuoso, recto, justo, bondadoso, sabio, prudente, trasparente y ordenado en los mensajes de la palabra de Dios, celoso de la doctrina y de la santidad. Era un pastor muy alegre, activo y le gustaba siempre estar presentable. Le gustaba danzar, cantar, y motivar para alabar a Dios en la iglesia. Siempre estuvo sujeto a sus superiores, tanto en la iglesia como en su trabajo, y sobre todo, fue un Pastor de oración, y de lectura de la palabra De Dios. El Pastor Galdino amaba el ministerio que Dios le había encomendado hasta el último día de su vida, y luchó como un gran guerrero.
Al Pastor Martínez le sobrevive su amada esposa, la Hna. Esmeralda Martínez cuyo amor y apoyo siempre fue inquebrantable, como también sus hijos Jared, Samuel, y Helen E. Martínez. Siempre lo recordarán como un verdadero hombre de Dios, trabajador, responsable, amigo, mentor, maestro, consejero, y un gran padre, esposo y guiador de su familia. El Pastor Galdino amaba mucho a su amada esposa, la respetaba, cuidaba, y la honraba, siempre dando gloria a Dios por los logros de su familia. Cuando las cosas no salían bien, solía decir, “vamos hacia delante”. Él siempre decía, “Primero Dios y después mi familia”.
Lo recordaremos como el sacerdote de nuestro hogar, el padre que se ganó el respeto, la admiración, la confianza, el amor de sus hijos. Fue también el esposo que siempre quería que las deudas se pagaran a tiempo, el gran esposo que construyó un altar con su familia al Dios Todopoderoso, para que la bendición de Dios nunca faltara en su hogar. Y fue padre que siempre nos dio lo mejor hasta el último día, y le gustaba leer y siempre hacer notas. Lo recordaremos como el padre y esposo que nos decía “Pase lo que pase, estamos bajo la voluntad de Dios, y Dios nos ayudará a seguir adelante.”
También le sobreviven su madre, Julia Mentado Reséndiz; los hermanos Mauro, Moisés, Refugio y Francisco; así como sus hermanas, Lourdes y Lucia, quienes atesorarán los recuerdos que compartieron con su querido hermano.
El capítulo final de la historia del pastor Martínez será conmemorado a través de servicios en su honor. El jueves 15 de agosto de 2024 se llevará a cabo un servicio fúnebre en la Funeraria Neal en Cleveland, TX, de 6:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., donde amigos y seres queridos podrán entregar sus condolencias y respetos. El servicio de despedida seguirá el viernes 16 de agosto de 2024, a partir de las 10:00 a.m. en el mismo lugar. El entierro del pastor Martínez se llevará a cabo inmediatamente después en el Cementerio Cleveland Memorial ubicado en Cleveland, TX.
Al reunirnos para honrar la memoria del pastor Martínez, encontremos consuelo en el pensamiento de que ahora descansa en paz eterna con la esperanza gloriosa de vida eterna en Cristo Jesús. Que su legado de amor, fe y bondad sea una luz que nos guíe a todos nosotros mientras recordamos y celebramos una vida que tocó a tantos de manera profunda y duradera.
“He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe. Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, juez justo, en aquel día; y no solo a mí, sino también a todos los que aman su venida.” 2 Tim 4.7-8
