Earl Norris Griffin

Earl Norris Griffin, a beloved daddy, grandpa, uncle, Cleveland resident, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on September 2, 2024, at the age of 78. Earl was born to parents Benjamin Franklin Ferguson and Oree Clarence Smith on October 10, 1945, in Cleveland, Texas.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Franklin Ferguson and Oree Clarence Smith; wife, Linda Carol Griffin; mother of his children, Linda Joyce Griffin; sister, Alice Williams; brothers, Robert Ferguson, Ray Griffin Jr., Ronnie Griffin.

Earl is survived by his children, Sonya Griffin and spouse Christi, Sande Ishee and spouse David, Bubba Griffin and spouse Lisa; stepsons, Shane Knight, Terry Knight, Boo Knight; grandchildren, Corbin Griffin, Chance Griffin, Johnny Rust, Cole Ishee, Logan Ishee, Chyanne Knight, Blake Knight, Nicole Knight, Callie Knight, Trent Knight, Taylor Knight, Ty Sweeten; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A visitation for Earl will be held at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas on Friday, September 6th from 5 pm – 7pm. Earl’s funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 10 am, with Pastor Troy Moore officiating. The burial will immediately follow at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens. Serving as pallbearers for the service will be Corbin Griffin, Rickey Mize, Richard Tarver, Brandon Reeves, Shane Knight, Boo Knight; honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Cloud and Eddy Mize.
