Vondia June Hix was born March 5, 1937, in Carthage, Texas to parents, Aaron Washington Harrison and Ollie Mae Warren Harrison.
She passed away September 3, 2024, in Humble, Texas, at the age of 87. Vondia worked as an accountant for H&R Block for many years. She also did accounting for her husband’s business for a long time.
Vondia loved her family and she was loved by all. Vondia will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Washington Harrison and Ollie Mae Harrison; beloved husband, Edward Nolen Hix Sr; son, Stephan Hix; brothers, Chick and June Harrison; sister, Clyde Hix. Vondia is survived by her beloved children, Anita Edmondson, and Edward Hix; grandchildren, Christi Creel, Travis Edmondson, Daniel Hix, Casey Edmondson, and Gary Hix; great-grandchildren, Zac Creel, Kimberly Creel, Lily Hix, Teyana Hix, and Elisabeth Edmondson.
Graveside Service is scheduled for Monday, September 9, 2024 at 10am in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Carl Williamson officiating.
