Corey Thomas “Steak Daddy” White was born Oct. 31, 1977, in Houston, Texas to parents, Thomas Alva White and Cecile Kingsbury White. He passed away Sept. 20, 2024, in Cleveland, Texas, at the age of 46.
Corey graduated from Cleveland High School in 1995. He received the nickname Steak Daddy while he was playing baseball, and it carried on to football. He received an ITT Associates of Applied Science Degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology on Sept. 12, 1997.
Corey worked for Cecor Services as a Journeyman electrician with his Dad for 30 years. Corey never met a stranger and was known for helping anyone and everyone in town. He loved fishing, riding his 4-wheeler, Coca Cola, Dallas Cowboys, Scooby-Doo, Scary Movies, driving his Red Truck, Black Tahoe and making someone smile. He loved his friends and family and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
Corey was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Alva White and half-brother, James Roberts “JR” Stokes. He is survived by his beloved mother, Cecile Kingsbury White; sister, Tawnya R. Sanders and husband Cody R. Sanders; half-brother Thomas N. White; niece, Samantha R. Young; nephew, Chandler R. Sanders; numerous other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m. in the Pace-Stancil Chapel in Cleveland, Texas, with John Davis officiating.
