The annual Dayton ISD Sports Hall of Fame raffle took place once again this fall, with four fantastic prizes awarded during the last four home football games. Congratulations to the lucky winners, each of whom took home a unique prize that added excitement to the season.
Oct. 4 was a memorable night for the Hall of Fame, as this year’s inductees were honored in a pre-game ceremony. That same evening, during halftime, Dusty Gatlin won an impressive prize of two Michael Kors purses valued at $799. The following Friday, Oct. 11, the next raffle drawing awarded a Houston Dynamo Soccer Gift Basket, worth $500, to Ms. Kora Ward.
On Oct. 25, Homecoming night, Noemi Bocanegra won a Boss Pro Pellet Smoker, retailing at $499. Finally, on Nov. 8, Mrs. Linda Edwards won a Cajun Fish Fryer valued at $499, marking the close of this year’s raffle.
Sports Hall of Fame Board President Larry Wadzeck expressed his gratitude, saying, “We are appreciative of all who purchased raffle tickets. All proceeds go directly to the Sports Hall of Fame to recognize former varsity athletes from the Colbert Tigers and Dayton High School. Congratulations to all of our winners!”
