Dayton ISD recently partnered with the Dayton Chamber of Commerce to create trophies for the Gulf Inland – Dayton Chamber Classic. The trophies were crafted by Mr. Trey Ellison and his shop class at Dayton High School.
Chamber Director Sean Stockard praised the partnership, stating, “The participants thought the awards were very cool and unique. However, they were even more excited about the partnership formed between Dayton ISD and the Chamber. Involving DHS students in the woodshop classes in an annual project was seen as a fantastic idea. The Chamber was impressed with the creativity and foresight of the class in understanding the vision for the awards. Thank you, Mr. Ellison and Dayton High School students!”
