Miriam Delores Henderson went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025, at the age of 91.
Miriam was born Jan. 18, 1933, in Baytown, Texas, to parents Lowell and Gracie Lou Wilburn. She resided in Houston for the past 58 years. She was salutatorian of her graduating class from Cedar Bayou High School, a retired accounting clerk from Haliburton, and member of Humble First Assembly of God. Miriam enjoyed singing and playing the piano, baking, sewing, and most of all spending time with her family.
Miriam is preceded in death by her parents, Lowell and Gracie Lou Wilburn, and brother Joe Wilburn. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years Bob Henderson; her two daughters Mitsy Stumpf and Lesa Perrault and husband Barry; four siblings Irma Briggs, Barbara Joines, L. C. Wilburn and wife Flo, Tommy Wilburn and wife Janet and sister-in-law Lynda Wilburn; six grandchildren Matthew Stumpf and wife Sandi, Daniel Stumpf, Jennifer Stumpf, Rachel Ware and husband Jacob, Travis Noske and Racheal Perrault; four great-grandchildren: Kirby Stumpf, Samuel Stumpf, Rebecca Benavides and husband Jonathon and Chelsea Bennett; and great great-grandchild Adrian Benavides.
She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, with funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton, Texas, with interment following at Palms Memorial Park.
