Ruben Gonzalez Rivera, 71, of Dayton, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2025, in Baytown.
Ruben was born Aug. 15, 1953, in Cuidad Valles San Luis Potosi Mexico, to parents; Florencio Gonzalez Yanez and Maria Andrea Rivera Martinez, and has resided in Dayton for the past 50 years.
He was a high school graduate in Mexico, received welding certifications from Lee College, and was a welder at Baker Performance for most of his professional career. Ruben also enjoyed his plants, watching wrestling and boxing, and helping others. He was big on family and loved his children and grandchildren fiercely.
Mr. Rivera was preceded in death by his parents, son: Ryan Gonzalez, and brother: Gregorio Gonzalez Rivera.
He is survived by his children: Edith Gonzalez and husband Jaime, Reuben Hayes Gonzalez, Andrea Carrillo and husband Jorge, Rebekah Gonzalez Darjean and husband Roderick, sister: Aracely Rivera, brother: Leo Gonzalez Rivera, grandchildren: Aracely Andrea Gonzalez, Graci Alejandra Gonzalez Ramirez, Isaiah Gonzalez, Reuben Hayes Gonzalez, Jr.(Roo), Nicholas Joldzic, Jorge Ryan Carrillo, Natasha Gonzalez, and Ana Karen Castillo Gonzalez. great-grandchildren: Annikin Leo Casarez, Ilario Antonio Casarez, and Gunner Gonzalez, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
