Greggory Gene Lewis

Greggory Gene Lewis, a beloved family member and devoted business owner, peacefully passed away on Nov. 25, 2024, at his residence in Kountze, Texas. Born on Jan. 2, 1968, to Walter Gene Lewis and Geraldine Spell Lewis. 

As a self-employed business owner, Greggory poured his heart and soul into his work, becoming well-respected among peers and clients alike. His dedication was a testament to his character, embodying the spirit of hard work and commitment.  Greggory cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, demonstrating a warmth and kindness that left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Alongside his dedication to his family, Greggory was a proud dog owner, often describing his pet as a cherished companion. His affection for his family and pet showcased his nurturing personality and unwavering loyalty.

Greggory is survived by his cousins and caretakers, Tina and Amanda Lewis;  Aunts, Rachel Lewis, Laverne Oliver, June Spell, Carol Spell, and Geneva Akers; Uncles and Aunts, Ronnie and Kaye Lewis, and Roger and Brenda Lewis; and a host of cousins and friends.

He is proceeded in death by his Father and Mother, Walter Gene Lewis and Geraldine Spell Lewis; Brother, Chris Lewis; and his fur babies Bella and Molly.

Greggory’s life will be honored with a series of services at Faith & Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas. Visitation will be held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 2 to 3 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze, Texas, with burial commencing after his service at 2 p.m.

Honoring Greggory as pallbearers are Russell Spell, Jerry Kyker, Marcus Clowers, Donnie Clowers, Mark Truax and Tim Gray.

Today we will also lay to rest the urns of Greggory’s Mother and Brother to be buried with him along with Molly.  They will join Walter Gene Lewis in the family plot.

Greggory Gene Lewis leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and resilience that will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His memory will continue to inspire and comfort those who celebrate his life.
