Over the weekend the Dayton Lady Broncos Girls Powerlifting Team competed at the State meet in Edinburg.
Lanie Whitehead finished in 8th place in her weight class with a total score of 870 pounds. Her score consisted of 350 squat, 230 bench press and 290 deadlift. Lanie is a senior and is a 4x Regional Qualifier and a three-time State Qualifier.
Ariana Zuniga finished in 4th place in her weight class with a total of 875 pounds. Her score consisted of 340 squat, 205 bench press and 330 deadlift. Ariana is a junior and is a three-time Regional Qualifier and a first-time State Qualifier.
Dayton ISD is extremely proud of these ladies and their accomplishments.
