In response to questions concerning an alleged sexual assault that purportedly took place on a Hardin ISD school bus between two elementary students earlier this month, Hardin ISD released the following statement:
“Hardin Independent School District takes every report of concern very seriously. The safety and welfare of our students is always our number one priority. We respond to every report of inappropriate sexual conduct with urgency, professionalism, and care following all required protocols.
“There was an incident reported to the district and we took immediate steps to notify the parents of both students and reported the incident to law enforcement and CPS.
“In addition, both families were provided access to outside agencies to support both students. We take the privacy of students and their families very seriously and student records and information are protected by federal privacy laws.
“The safety and well-being of our students is something we take very seriously. We will take all necessary steps to address and prevent such student incidents and we remain vigilant in our efforts.
“We encourage all parents to communicate with your students about peer interactions and to alert the district when concerns arise,” the statement concludes.
Instead of conducting some real journalism and publishing the mother’s side of the story, you publish this crap? You were made aware of the mother’s allegations and yet still published this? This is why everyone thinks news media is a joke. Take some notes from Grizzy Hood News
I agree. What is this half baked statement??? The mother saw video. This is not “alleged” there is video of the SA and Assault.
News organizations have to use “alleged” until things are proven in court to keep from getting sued. It’s not a comment on whether or not the crime happened but whether or not it has gone to court and been proven.
It’s not uncommon for this site to publish incomplete information of half truths. A story posted two years ago ruined a family’s life more than it already was. The family had a video that proved opposite of what was written by the officer and Vanessa. After the family complained, showing her the video, she wouldn’t change it. The officer was even fired a few months later after for multiple illegal and underhanded practices. The public’s opinion was already made.
I hope there will be justice for this child unlike this family.
Castrate that POS. Also, how in the hell does a bus driver not see that? The offender shouldn’t see daylight and the family should be held accountable for making a monster like that.
I would think that the only way a third grader knew how to do this, is because it has been done to him. I really think there is a whole lot more that is not being.posted. Very sad situation.
While this is a horrible thing to happen in any environment, it is unreasonable to presume that a bus driver can both be looking forward at the road and also backwards to closely watch 20-40 kids. A bus driver’s job is to look at the road and get kids delivered to their locations.
This would be a great time for concerned parents to gather together and get a group of volunteers to ride on these buses and help watch out for the kids. Of course, those parents would need to be able to ride both morning and afternoon for a couple of hours, be able to pass a background check, and be trained on child safety.
We ask so much of the people who take care of our most innocent citizens, but there are so few resources and so few people who will step up.

There should be 2 adults on every bus the driver assistant thats also known as a bus monitor Second they should have assigned seat where pre K and Kindergarten sets in the first couple of seats behind and across from the driver where the Adult monitor should be or that adult monitor the drivers assistant separated between the younger snd older kids. The oldest kids should be in the back of the bus where the youngest should not be allowed. And above all this when a kid is hollering stop its the duty as a bus driver to pull over and see what’s going on then after the fact specially when this has been reported previously by even other parents or crying out children on the bus that gets ignored. The bus driver themselves should be held reliable and fired. SCHOOL AND BUS DRIVER BOTH NEEDS A LAWSUIT AND FINES AGAISNT THIS! THIS IS NOT COOL BY NO MEANS!!!
Well elementary students shouldn’t even be thinking of sexual conducts, so maybe take a closer look at their home lives because I feel like that means someone might be touching them wrong or something. Kids don’t just come up with things that on their own. Something at home is wrong. Just my opinion but worth taking into consideration.
Hardin ISD if you take safety of kids seriously, remove the attacker from school and investigate his parents. The child is an animal and needs to be homeschooled!!! Stop putting the safety of other students at risk for one sick child. Parents go to school board meetings and raise awareness, parents show up to the school make the noise to demand a safe environment for your kids. The parents of this sick kid need’s to pay the consequences for raising a child who would do this. No child should be forced to see their attacker everyday in a “safe environment”, come on Hardin ISD the world is watching.
