
Alma “Mo” Lea Sams Isabell, 87, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at her residence.
Alma was born Feb. 19, 1938, in Murray, Ark., to parents, Cecil Sams and Flossie Self Sams. Alma is a former resident of Kansas where her and her late husband William “Bill” Isabell raised their two children, Cheryl and Bill. Alma has resided in the Liberty/Cleveland area for the past seven years. She was a loyal and faithful woman with great strength and resilience, who was very devoted to her family and friends.
She had a remarkable way of making everybody feel welcome, often sharing stories and lessons of life that will remain with us forever. She spent most of her life as a homemaker and a caring mother to her beloved children. Alma enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting, working puzzles, and was an avid reader. Her legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Mrs. Isabell was preceded in death by her parents, husband: William “Bill” Thomas Isabell, brother: Willard Sams and 2 sisters: Vergie Poyner, & Edith Sams. She is survived by her son: William “Bill” Isabell Jr., daughter: Cheryl Donner and husband Jerry, brothers: James Sams, Larry Sams, Raymond Kelly, Daymond Kelly, sisters: Jean McClung, Jewel Fox, Sharon Lehman, Verna Larkin, grandchildren: Katie Meier, Joe Trowbridge, Ashley Trowbridge, Sarah Neuman, Gary Neuman, Tom Isabell and Tabetha Cliffton, Amber Travelstead, Jeremy Travelstead, Britta Perry, Lance Perry, Emily Singleton, and Elizabeth Cates and Calvin Cates, 21 great-grandchildren & countless nieces & nephews.
