
Leatrice White Rogers, 71, of Beaumont, Texas, transitioned on May 29, 2025.
Services will be held Saturday, Jun. 7, 2025, at Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, 4390 Fannett Rd., Beaumont, Texas. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. until Funeral at 11 a.m. Burial was on Jun. 9, 2025, in Fern Park Cemetery, Natchitoches, La.
Leatrice White Rogers was born June 23, 1953, to Ellis Coutee and Clara White in Natchitoches, La.
Leatrice preceded in death by her parents Clara White and Ellis Coutee, sisters- Essie Green, Etheline Antee (Nicholas), Vivian Howard, brothers- Otis White, Samuel White, Warren White, Roneka White, Ellis Coutee Jr. (Bonnie), James Coutee, granddaughter- Darrielle Perkins, great grandson-Kayden Manuel
Leatrice was baptized at an early age at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Natchez, La.
Leatrice attended St. Matthews High School class of 1971. She later moved to Beaumont, TX and met Joseph Rogers who she was married to for over 20 years, with this Union 2 daughters were born Latrisha and Kristy. They shared their union at Lily of Valley for many years then she later joined Paradise Baptist church in 2016.
Leatrice further her education in childcare where she went to Lamar University and received her degree. She worked at several daycares for many years such as Central Daycare, West Tabernacle, Jackson’s Daycare, & Greater Good Hope where she later retired due to her becoming legally blind. Then she later joined the employment team of The Vision of The Blind.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her Daughters- Latrisha Johnson (Willie) and Kristy Perkins (Darrell); Sisters – Evaughn White, Lora Hayes, Bessie Lacour, Mary Bossier, Florence Coutee, Estelle Coutee; Brothers- Stevie White, Von White, Frederick White, Collins Coutee (Catherine), Harry Coutee (Rose), Charles Coutee, Julius Howard, Eric Davis (Sandra); Grandchildren- Krystal Manuel (Jonathan Sr.), Brooke Gilder (Larenzio), Holden Moore, Darrius Perkins, Destyni Perkins; Great Grandchildren- Jonathan Manuel Jr., Braelyn Thompson, Jayden Manuel, Kaylee Manuel, & Lailah Gilder; God Children- Nekitta West and Raymond Floyd; Special Friends- Carol Marks, Louise Brooks, Shirley Howard, Thelma Alexander, & Ms. Joyce; along with host of nieces, nephews, relatives, & friends.
