Joseph Cisco Knight

Joseph Cisco Knight, a son, a father and a grandfather was born January 11, 1947, in Houston Texas. He departed this world on July 2, 2025, in Tennessee Colony, Texas. Joseph’s life was defined by hard work and a strong back. He was known for his supportive role as he stepped in to help raise his three grandchildren, he tried to love those around him to the best of his ability providing for those whom he loved.

Joseph was a passionate hunter and enjoyed the quiet companionship of raising pigeons, activities that brought him joy and allowed him to connect deeply with nature.

Joseph is survived by his beautiful children, Edward Knight and wife Melissa, Joanna flowers and Lynn Boyington. He is also remembered fondly by his sister Patsy Wilkerson, who shared his journey through life; his grandchildren, Joanna Knight and fiancé Garrett Clark, Alexandria Holloway, Shelby Knight, Christian Boyington, Savannah Boyington, and Ashley Flowers and husband Micah Ray; and his great-grandchildren, Ryan Clark, Oliver Clark, and Sadie Lynn Ray.

Joseph’s family also includes other loving relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Karen Knight, who was a light in his life and very much his better half, as well as his mother, Maddie Benton and his beautiful granddaughter Barbara Lynn Knight, a profound loss that left an incredible mark on everyone’s heart who knew her.

Though we may not understand everything that happens on this side of heaven, we do know one thing: his last moments on this earth were filled with remorse as he repented and received Jesus as his Lord and his Savior; finally bringing rest to a broken and tormented soul. May God grant us His peace that surpasses all understanding, as we move forward, living life to its fullness in closing a chapter of sorrow.

The family invites those whose lives were touched by Joseph to join them in honoring his memory and celebrate a life received into God’s hands on Thursday, July 17, 2025, and we will begin at 11 AM. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM, all held at Neal Funeral Home 200 S. Washington Ave., Cleveland, TX. After the service Joseph will be laid to rest at 2:30 PM at Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas.
