Gerri Lynn Hadnot

Gerri Lynn Hadnot, 70, of Silsbee, Texas, passed Sept. 08, 2025.

Services are Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Union Baptist Church, 407 S. 21st, Silsbee, Texas. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. until Funeral at 12 noon. Interment will be in Kirby Cemetery, Silsbee, Texas.

Gerri Lynn (Perkins) Hadnot, daughter of Esther Mae Owens and Billy Samuel was the 5 of 10 children born to this couple. Gerri began her education at Waldo Matthews and Silsbee High School. Gerri was a member of Silsbee High School Class of 1973. Gerri accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful, devoted, and active member of Union Baptist Church until her health failed. Gerri worked many years as a caregiver and cook. Gerri was kind and generous to her friends, neighbors, and community.

Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and daughter Devlyn. 

Gerri’s legacy lives in the hearts of her children, daughters Towona Washington (Shawn) and Quintina Knighton, sons Micheal Howard, Herman Howard III, Brian Howard (Shinette), and Corey Hadnot, siblings Marilyn Irvin, Caroline Coffey (Micheal) and Felix Samuel (Gwen). Gerri’s legacy continues in the hearts of 3 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
