Myrle L. Trammel, 81, died after a long health struggle on March 25, 2026, at Kingwood Hospital. He was born July 20, 1944, in Stuart, Okla., the son of Kenneth Trammel and Pearl Louise (Dunn) Trammel.
After completing high school, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Linda Click in 1967. Following his military duty, they settled in Houston, Texas. They were married for 41 years until Linda’s passing in 2008. Love found Myrle again in 2010 when he married Dawn (Rider) Trammel.
For 46 years, Myrle worked for the City of Houston as a master electrician and for the City of Pasadena as an electrical inspector. He retired in 2023. Anyone who knew Myrle would tell you he had a quick wit, was a major motorcycle enthusiast, and took great joy in riding the roads with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Linda. Daughter, Evelyn. Sisters Janice and Lagatha and Brother Anthony.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Rider) Trammel. Son, Eugene Trammel, and his daughter-in-law, Debra. Stepson, John Rider. Brother, Howard Trammel, Son-in-law, Willie Brooks. Myrle also had 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
The viewing is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27, at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home, 303 E. Crockett St., Cleveland, TX 77327
A remembrance of his life will be held on Saturday, March 28th, at the same location at 2 p.m.
