Jannifer Kay McAdams, age 65, of Cleveland, Texas, passed away on April 10, 2026. She was born on Sept. 28, 1960, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Edward Lee Westbrook and Elaine Yvonne Westbrook.
Jannifer was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and strength touched the lives of many. She made her home in Cleveland beginning in 1979, where she devoted herself to raising her beloved son, Clinton William Whitaker, who preceded her in death in 2002. Her love for her family was unwavering, and she held especially close her grandson, nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Jannifer served her community through her employment at Shepherd Intermediate School since 2015. She took pride in her work and the relationships she built along the way.
Jannifer will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her grandson, William Lance Whitaker; her father Edward Westbrook; her siblings, Stacie Westbrook and Edward Lee Westbrook, Jr.; her nieces, Brandi Green and Ashley Valdez; and her nephew, Robert Collins.
She also leaves behind her cherished great-nephews, Hayden Green, Isaiah Castillo, Trace Green, Elijah Valdez, and Kayden Collins, lovingly known as “Pistol Pete,” as well as her great-niece, Shaylee Collins.
In addition to her son, Jannifer was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine Westbrook and sister, Carrie Lynn Curry.
Jannifer’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Her warmth, dedication, and love for her family will never be forgotten.
