The event honored the more than 70,000 American and Filipino prisoners of war who were forced to march more than 60 miles across the Bataan Peninsula from April 9-17, 1942.

Beginning at 8 a.m., the cadets completed a 14-mile circuit through Keith-Wiess Park in Houston. Along the route, they read and reflected on firsthand accounts from survivors of the march. Similar memorial events were held across the United States over the weekend.
