Early voting begins Monday, April 20, 2026, for the May 2, 2026, city and school elections. These elections include races and measures for the City of Ames, City of Cleveland, City of Dayton, City of Liberty, Cleveland ISD, Dayton ISD, Devers ISD, Hardin ISD, Hull-Daisetta ISD, the Liberty ISD bond election, and Liberty County Water Control and Improvement District Nos. 1 and 5.
This election is separate from the runoff election, which will be held May 26.
Voters should note that no early voting will take place on Tuesday, April 21, as the State of Texas prohibits voting on San Jacinto Day. Early voting will resume Wednesday, April 22, and continue through Tuesday, April 28. Election Day is Saturday, May 2.
- Early voting will be conducted at the following locations:
- Cleveland Civic Center, 210 Peach Avenue, Cleveland
- Hardin City Hall, 142 C.R. 2010, Hardin
- Dayton Community Center, 801 S. Cleveland St., Dayton
- Jack Hartel Community Building, 318 San Jacinto St., Liberty
- Early voting hours are:
- Monday, April 20, and Wednesday, April 22 through Friday, April 24: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, April 25: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, April 26: 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Monday and Tuesday, April 27-28: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- On Election Day, May 2, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:

- Hardin City Hall, 142 C.R. 2010, Hardin (curbside voting available)
