James Michael Lee was born in Cleveland, Texas, on March 7, 1972, to parents, James Leon Lee and Betty Louise Lamb Lee. He passed away after a courageous battle on April 21, 2026, at the age of 54.
He was a graduate of Tarkington High School Class of 1990 and he was a life long resident of Cleveland, Texas, with the exception of the time he served our country in the US Army, being stationed in Germany and Ft. Hood.
James Michael was an operator for Liberty County in Precinct 3. He also loved being outdoors and working at the farm.
His greatest love was for his family and he will be greatly missed by everyone that loved him. He is survived by his wife of 4 years, Gwen Lee; parents, James Leon and Betty Louise Lee; father in law and mother in law, Lee and Sandy Yeoman; stepchildren, Blane Patterson, Carless Washburn, Haven Street, and Hunter Welch; brother, Jerry Leon Lee; sister, Kristina Cammilleri and husband Larry; brother in law, Beau Yeoman and wife Tracy; sister in law, Denae Yeoman; nephews, Cameron Cammilleri and wife Adelyne, and Corey Yeoman; nieces, Kayla Cammilleri, Nikki Yeoman, Amy Carrol and husband Jason, Nevaeh Lucas, Madison Lindsay, and Danielle Saxton and husband Justin Ferguson.
Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, 2026, in the Pace-Stancil Chapel at 2 p.m. with JW Kirkham officiating. Burial will follow in the Ryan Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Army. Pallbearers for the service will be, Kevin Lee, Josh Cadwalder, Bo Potter, Aaron King, Beau Yeoman, and Jody Lamb.
