Billy Louis Mize

Billy Louis Mize was born in Cleveland, Texas, on August 24, 1951, to parents, Jesse Mize and Geneva Crippens Mize. He passed away April 23, 2026, in Cleveland, Texas, at the age of 74.

Billy worked at Gulf, which later became Chevron, and then Chevron Phillips for 35 years. He was a quiet speaking man, but when he had something to say people would listen. Billy loved being in the outdoors, especially deer hunting and he was great working crossword puzzles.

He and Kay loved to travel and go on cruises. Most of all Billy loved his family and was a beloved husband, father, PaPa, and great-PaPa and he will be deeply missed by everyone that loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Geneva Mize; brother, Donald Mize; sisters, Linda Mize and Betty Gilbert.

Billy is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Kay Mize; beloved children, Krissy White and Joey Polland, Larry Mize and Lisa Johnson, Melvin Tubbs, and Mark Tubbs and Christie Howard; beloved grandchildren, Kolten, Katelyn, Autumn and Nathan, Joshua, Klayten and Anicia, and Morgan; beloved great-grandchildren, Brentlee, Landen, Klark and Kent, Hayden and Payton, Delilah, Nymeria, and Serathina.

Visitation will be at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 6-8pm. Funeral Service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the Montague Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be, Will King, Garrett Richards, Mark Enloe, Jesse Mize,. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Pace-Stancil Funeral Home to help with final expenses for Billy.
