Blake Anthony Smith, a cherished young soul from Livingston, Texas, was taken from this world on May 5, 2026, in Shepherd, Texas. Born on Sept. 3, 2011, Blake’s brief life was filled with the warmth of family, the camaraderie of friends, and the vibrant pursuit of his passions and dreams.
Blake was a student at Shepherd Middle School, where he actively engaged in a variety of activities that reflected his boundless energy and commitment. His involvement in football, basketball, and the Jr. ROTC showed not only his athleticism but also his leadership and discipline. Beyond the school grounds, Blake’s love for fishing brought him joy and peace, while his earlier days playing baseball in Corrigan, Texas, revealed a spirited young athlete with a love for sport and teamwork.
Those who knew Blake remember him as a boy who deeply loved his family and friends. His laughter, kindness, and youthful enthusiasm left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to be in his presence.
Blake is survived by a devoted family who carry forward his legacy of love. His father, Raymond Anthony Smith, stands beside him in memory and spirit. Blake’s brothers—Aiden Carpenter, Daron Smith, and James Frasch—and sisters—Katrina Smith, Chelsey Orvis, Mariah Garcia, Nevaeh White, and Cheyenne White —remain a testament to the bond they shared. He was also the beloved grandchild of grandmothers Nina Bruton, Kathy Tullos and her husband James; grandfathers Marvin Smith and his wife Debbie, and Rob Cook with his wife Robbie; along with his great-grandmother Cheryl Brisco, whose guidance and love enriched Blake’s life.
The support of extended family was ever present, including uncles Dennis Smith and his wife Jenna, and Dave Burch and his wife Laura; aunts Amanda Lay, Beverly Potts with her husband Micah, and Jennifer Reeves with her husband Charles. These relatives, along with other loving family members and friends, are united in honoring Blake’s memory and carrying forward the spirit of a young life so deeply valued.
Blake Anthony Smith’s life, though tragically short, will forever be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him, his spirited engagement with life, and the profound love he held for his family and friends. His passing leaves a void felt deeply by all who loved him, yet his memory shines brightly—a beacon of youthful hope, kindness, and the enduring bonds of family.
A Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at 1 p.m., at Good Shepherd Baptist in Shepherd, Texas. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 PM at the same location.
