A Baytown man is hoping to reconnect a class ring with its rightful owner after it was discovered in a jewelry bundle purchased in Dayton.
According to Zachary Marlar, his father recently bought a collection of jewelry in Dayton, and among the items was a Balfour class ring believed to be from 2018.
The ring features a white or diamond-like stone with the year “2018” surrounding it. One side displays the word “INDIANS” and a basketball hoop, while the other side features an Indians mascot and the name “Jones.” The initials “DWJ” are engraved inside the ring.

Based on the design, the ring appears to be associated with Cleveland High School, whose mascot is the Indians. While it initially appeared to be a men’s ring, Marlar said it could possibly belong to a woman.
Marlar has made it his mission to locate the owner and return the ring.
Anyone who recognizes the ring or knows who it may belong to is asked to contact Zachary Marlar at 832-629-4652.
