Ted Ekstrom

Ted Ekstrom was the kind of person who never met a stranger and rarely missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. He passed away on June 16, 2026, leaving behind countless memories, stories, and smiles that will be cherished by all who knew him.

A skilled welder by trade, Ted took pride in working with his hands and creating unique things that would last. He was hardworking, talented, and always willing to lend a hand when someone needed help.

But what many will remember most was his sarcastic sense of humor. Teddy had a gift for making people laugh and keeping life interesting. Those who knew him best often joked that he was a “pot stirrer”—always teasing, always finding a way to get a reaction, and usually wearing a grin while doing it. He loved to joke around, tell stories, and keep family from ever becoming too quiet and bored.

Above all, Teddy loved his family and friends. Though we will miss his laughter, his stories, and the mischief he brought into our lives, we are grateful for the time we shared with him and the memories that will continue to bring smiles for years to come. Teddy’s life reminds us to laugh often, love deeply, and never take ourselves too seriously.

Famous quote of Teddy’s “Why do today what you can do tomorrow” ” f***-’em feed them fish heads”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Norma Ekstrom, Sr.; Brother Donald Ekstrom, Jr., Donald Ekstrom, III.
