Guy Cecil Davis III

Guy Cecil Davis III, born on Jan. 23, 1965, in Houston, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love and memories of those who knew him best.

Guy is survived by his mother, Judy Davis; his siblings, Jeremy Davis, Nat Davis, Chris Davis, and Debra Mellott and her husband, Daniel; his daughters, Heather Jenice Davis and Amanda Davis; and his cherished grandchildren, Madeline Kwasniewski, Emilia Kwasniewski, Zane Kwasniewski, Evelyn Hill, Jocelyn Cambiaso, Alison Brown, and Samuel Brown.

He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Cecil Davis II; his grandparents, Gerald and Martha “Bessie” Pogue; his daughter, Megan Davis; his stepfather, Bill Davis; his aunt, Cookie Davis and his nephew, Shawn Davis.

Guy was a unique and remarkable man whose intelligence, creativity, and independent spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Gifted with an exceptional mind, he could solve algebra problems in his head and was always eager to explore new ideas and possibilities. An out-of-the-box thinker, Guy never hesitated to follow his own path and truly walked to the beat of his own drum.

Music was one of his greatest passions. He enjoyed composing songs and playing guitar, expressing himself through melodies and lyrics. His love of music spanned many genres, and he especially enjoyed listening to The Beatles, The Doors, classic rock and roll, blues, and jazz beats.

Guy also had a deep interest in the stock market and spent many hours studying and trading stocks. At the time of his passing, he was working on a plan designed to help others make informed and responsible investment decisions, reflecting his desire to share knowledge and help those around him.

He had a special affection for cats and found joy in their companionship throughout his life.

Though Guy’s journey was not always conventional, he lived authentically, guided by his curiosity, intelligence, and creativity. He will be remembered for his sharp mind, his musical talents, his independent nature, and the love he held for his family.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
