Donna Maria Foster was born on Sept. 26, 1945, in Cleveland, Texas, to Gladys and Waymon Foster. Donna attended public school in Cleveland and upon graduation, studied at Methodist Hospital in Houston to become an X-ray technician.
Donna loved her family and friends, traveling, eating good food, having a good laugh, and most of all we sometimes thought, her clowder of cats. As a young woman, Donna loved women’s softball, and later, along with her mom, women’s professional basketball.
Donna passed away peacefully at the Heart to Heart Hospice Center on June 25, 2026, at the age of 80. She is preceded in death by her parents, along with many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She is survived by her brother, Don, and his wife Helen, and their family: son, Blair, and his daughter, Kaitlyn; and daughter, Katy, and her husband, Bill Aziz. In keeping with the celebratory tone that Donna would have favored, we ask that everyone come casually dressed. And, in lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contribution for Donna be made to an animal shelter of your choice.
