Rickie Wayne Carpentier

With deep gratitude for a life of service, family, and hard work, we announce the passing of Rickie Wayne Carpentier, born Oct. 10, 1947, in Houston, Texas, and called home June 12, 2026, in Cleveland, Texas. A proud veteran of the United States Armed Forces, Rickie served his country and then devoted his life to his family and community.

Rickie was a devoted father to Chris and Allen Carpentier, and a cherished pawpaw to his grandchildren Casie, Corie, Kayla, Lauren, and Jessica. He rejoiced in the laughter and energy of his great-grandchildren — Sonya, Angel, Robert Jr., Brandie, Brian, Bethanie, and many more — who brought him endless pride and joy. He is survived by his siblings Ronnie Carpentier and Judy Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sonya Carpentier; his parents, Billie and Frank Carpentier; his daughter Brandi Carpentier; and his first wife, Maxine Wiesenthal, as well as many dear friends who shared his journey.

A lifelong entrepreneur and community steward, Rickie owned and operated Cleveland Manor Nursing Home for more than 30 years and ran Frank’s Pharmacy. After retiring, he opened a used car lot across the street and remained active until his final retirement. An avid outdoorsman and farmer, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren — often giving them rides on his tractor. Rickie will be remembered for his boundless work ethic, generosity, and the steady care he gave his family and neighbors.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 1 to 4 p.m., at Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Cleveland, Texas. The family welcomes friends to join in remembering and honoring his life.

Rickie was a loving brother, father, pawpaw, and friend. We give thanks for his life and the many memories he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
