Klint Bush, the former Liberty County Elections Administrator and former head of the Liberty County Housing Authority, was arrested Friday, Aug. 7, on 11 counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Bush was taken into custody at his home in Hardin, Texas. Because the arrest occurred Friday morning, he had not yet appeared before a judge for bail or bond conditions at the time of publication.
The latest charges follow indictments handed down earlier this week and add to a series of criminal charges Bush has faced in recent years.
Bush was named Liberty County’s first elections administrator in 2019. Since that time, the position has been eliminated and elections were returned to the Liberty County Clerk’s Office. Bush also previously headed the Liberty County Housing Authority.
In December 2022, Bush was arrested on charges of Abuse of Official Capacity and Theft following simultaneous raids at his home and the Liberty County Housing Authority offices. The raids were conducted by investigators with the Texas Rangers, Liberty County District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Office of Inspector General.
Bush was later charged with two counts of Abuse of Official Capacity, two counts of Theft of Property and one count of Housing Authority Interested Commissioners, stemming from the same investigation.
In April 2026, Bush was charged with Misappropriation of Fiduciary or Financial Property, also related to the previous cases.
All of those cases remain pending. Bush was granted bail or bond following each of his previous arrests.
The 11 child pornography charges are the latest criminal allegations against Bush. The indictments are not yet public. However, his arrest information is available through the Liberty County Jail.

I worked in crimes against children and nothing shocks me anymore. There is more of that going on than anyone could imagine
I’m not saying I’m surprised. But I do find it odd that recently it seems like nationwide if one group tries to keep a certain someone down but the someone either keeps getting bailed out or starts to gain favor in the community again these specific charges come up. It’s the ultimate way to bury someone and finally get them out of your hair for good. Innocent until proven guilty 100% so we shall see what happens. Again not defending him by any means whatsoever but I just find it odd that these specific charges come up every single time in these instances.

I’ll have to take the same side as Andy. This procession of child porn dies seem to come up a lot when the prosecutor knows he’s possibly going to lose the case in all the previous charges. The next step is the world famous ” plea deal”. You get to accept a lite sentence and all other charges will be dropped.
They don’t arrest you for nothing they got some kinda evidence
