Brenda Sue Brand Barrett, 75, of Hardin, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, at her residence.
Brenda was born Nov. 11, 1950, in Eureka, California, and was raised by her parents, Lloyd Brand and Doris Ward. Brenda had been a resident of Hardin for the past 10 years and was a former resident of Livingston. She retired from the Liberty Independent School District Transportation Department, where she served as a bus driver. She was also a member of Hardin Baptist Church. Brenda enjoyed watching game shows, reading, and cooking. She will be remembered for the time she shared with her family and friends and for the many memories she leaves behind.
Mrs. Barrett was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Linda White; and numerous step-siblings.
She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Kenneth Barrett; her stepchildren, Chad Barrett and wife Jana, Brad Barrett, Natalie Boatwright and husband Jason, and Olivia Sharp and husband Clay; her aunt Peggy Roebuck and husband Rick; her brother, David Brand and wife Pat; and her sister, Jane Elliott. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Laura Barrett, Kiersten Boatwright, Reese Sharp, Riley Sharp, Remi Jo Sharp, Bryce Barrett and wife Jennifer, Zachary Barrett and wife Mollee, William Barrett, Colby Barrett, Mason Boatwright, and Hudson Boatwright; Derek Martindale; as well as her nieces, Renee Walker, Lawanda Gonzalez, Christine Luna, Tonya Golay, nephew Travis Hawk and wife Mitzi and numerous other relatives, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., with graveside services at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at the Hardin Chapel Cemetery Pavilion, in Hardin.
