Kenneth Biggs, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, devoted servant of the Lord, and proud United States Marine, passed away on Aug. 9, 2026. He was born on May 28, 1948, in Columbus, Texas, to Ewell and Janey Biggs.
Kenneth devoted more than 30 years of his life to serving others as a funeral director and embalmer. His career was much more than a profession to him—it was an opportunity to care for people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Kenneth had a servant’s heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Nothing brought him greater joy than being there for his family, and there was little he would not do for those he loved.
Kenneth loved his country deeply and was a true patriot. He was especially proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps, and the values of honor, loyalty, and service remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.
Above all, Kenneth loved the Lord. His faith was a guiding presence in his life, and he found great joy in serving God and his church. He lived his faith through his kindness, generosity, and willingness to care for others.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his beloved soulmate, Lynda Biggs; his parents, Ewell and Janey Biggs; his brother, Larry Biggs; and his sister, Nancy Teague.
He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly, including his daughters, Kyndra Watson and husband Joseph, and Kara Martin and husband Ian; his brothers, Joe Biggs, Ewell Biggs, and Bill Biggs; his sisters, Alice Hill and Jewell Bolgrihn; his grandchildren, Patrick Goodwin and Sarah Knox, Cody Cleveland and Michael, Angela Watson, Joseph Watson III, Briana Martin, and Lyndy Martin; and his precious great-granddaughter, Alice Goodwin.
Kenneth will be remembered for his caring heart, his devotion to his family, his love of country, his faithful service to others, and his unwavering love for the Lord. His life touched many people, both through his profession and through the kindness he showed every day.
Though he will be deeply missed, the love Kenneth gave so freely, the faith he lived so faithfully, and the memories he created with those closest to him will remain in the hearts of his family and friends for generations to come.
