Betty J Schinktgen

Betty J Schinktgen (Hietikko) of Seymour, Wis., age 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026, in Anahuac, Texas.

Betty was born on Dec. 4, 1941, in Munising, Mich., to the late Reino and Ruth (Metsala) Hietikko. She married John Schinktgen on Dec. 4, 1976. Together, they shared many years of marriage and built a life centered around family and the people they loved.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Radey; Cindy (Alex) Hernandez; her stepchildren Barbara Blaha and John (Joan) Schinktgen; her sisters Shirley (Eugene) Norbert; Sharon (Robert) Radey, and Mavis Caudill.

She is further survived by her Grandchildren, Jessica Radey; Christina Radey; Norman Zarnoth; Nicole (Johnny) Lewellen; Kyle Olbrias; Ashley Olbrias; three step-grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 7 step-great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and her special McDonald’s friends. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Harbor Hospice, and Dr. John Redman, for their support.

Her earthly journey is now complete, and she has found eternal peace. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23

She will be forever loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
