Bingo fundraiser to support Liberty County conservation efforts

The Liberty County Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation is inviting the community to try its luck at bingo while helping support local conservation and outreach efforts.

The chapter will host its Bingo fundraiser from 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at VFW Post 1839, 18 CR 396 in Cleveland.

The afternoon will feature 10 rounds of traditional bingo, with participants competing for their choice of prizes.

Tickets are $50 per person and include three bingo cards for each of the 10 games. Additional three-packs of cards may be purchased during the event.

Groups planning to attend together can take advantage of early-bird table pricing, with a table for eight available for $350.

Food, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from VFW staff throughout the event.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the Liberty County Longbeards’ conservation and community outreach efforts and the broader mission of the National Wild Turkey Federation.

The organization works to conserve wild turkey populations and their habitats while preserving hunting heritage and providing opportunities for future generations to experience and appreciate the outdoors.

The National Wild Turkey Federation and its local chapters carry out that mission through conservation, education, outreach and partnerships aimed at protecting wildlife habitat and keeping outdoor traditions alive for future generations.
