Donna Darlene Hewitt was born in Nacogdoches, Texas, on Feb. 18, 1949, to parents, Andy Carter Kelley and Janice Dent Kelley. She passed away in Conroe, Texas, on Sept. 17, 2026, at the age of 77.
Darlene was a school teacher for many years before her retirement. She attended the Mims Baptist Church in Conroe and loved the old hymns. Her greatest love was for her family and the memories they have of her will last forever.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Andy Carter Kelley and Janice Kelley; brother, Roger Andy Kelley; niece, Janey Bigger; nephew, Jamie Aaron Kelley. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Donna Delys Hewitt; beloved sisters, Judy Faye Bigger and Jewel Dean Blocker; beloved grandchildren, Sydnee Paige Rogers and Leah Charlotte Rogers; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 21, 2026, in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel from 2-4 p.m. Funeral Service will begin at 4 p.m. with Temetrius Gistand officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be, Mike Fries, John Parsley, Gary Alston, Craig Roberts, Jimmy Alston, Robert Kelley, and Collin Kelley.
