A Cleveland-area man is facing a first-degree felony charge after a woman was stabbed multiple times Saturday night at a residence in the New River Lake Estates area of Liberty County.
Clinton Blake Moore, 31, was taken into custody Sunday morning, Oct. 3, and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon with a family violence enhancement, according to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.
The stabbing was reported around 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at a residence on CR 2066. Authorities said the woman suffered numerous stab wounds to the front of her body.

Moore was not located Saturday night following the stabbing. On Sunday morning, after the Sheriff’s Office morning shift came on duty, a deputy searching the area spotted Moore and took him into custody.
Investigators have not released details about the relationship between Moore and the woman. The Sheriff’s Office said investigators have been unable to obtain a full account of what happened because the victim has not yet been able to communicate those details.
The investigation remains ongoing.
