Charles Allen Culpepper

Charles Allen Culpepper, of Splendora, Texas, passed away on Oct. 4, 2026, at the age of 48. He was born on Oct. 14, 1977, in Montgomery, Alabama.

Charles will be remembered as a man with a good heart, a generous spirit, and an easy way with people. He never met a stranger, and those who knew him experienced his warmth, openness, and love for life. In his younger days, he was known as a wild child, and he especially loved spending time with his best friend, Johnny, as they enjoyed life together. Even after surviving a life-changing accident, Charles continued to embrace life and hold close the people he loved most.

He worked as an electrician and was excited to earn his Journeyman’s license, a milestone that reflected both his dedication and pride in his work. Outside of work, Charles found joy in the things that made life lively and meaningful to him. He enjoyed playing his guitar, riding bikes, walking his dog, and gambling. He also loved listening to old rock and roll, music that surely matched his spirited nature.

Above all, Charles loved his family. He is survived by his father, Thomas Joseph Culpepper, his brother, Thomas Culpepper and his partner Debbie Mitchell; his sister Cheryl Ward and her husband, Calvin; his nephews Joseph Culpepper and his wife, Courtney, Stephen Ward and his partner, Lorri Apgar, Melvin Ward and his partner, Lannie Warman, Phillip Ward and his wife, Jessica, Miles Snodgrass, and Kip Snodgrass. He is also survived by his great-nephews Bryson Culpepper, Brody Culpepper, Braxton Alfred, Trace Warman, Landyn Ward, Brentlee Ward, and Cody Ward, and by his great-nieces Paislee Ward, Kimber Ward, Hadlynn Ward, Bryleigh Blevins, BlayKelynn Latham, and Morgan Warman Reed.

He is also lovingly remembered by his uncle, Lavon Culpepper and his wife, Carolyn; by Dusty Zaruba; and by Johnny Colbert and family. The many relatives and friends who shared in Charles’s life will remember his generosity, his free spirit, and the affection he gave so easily.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Mann Culpepper, and his sister, Donna Ward.

May the memory of Charles Allen Culpepper bring comfort to those who loved him and lasting gratitude for the time they shared with him.
