Second Liberty County man arrested this week in child sexual abuse material investigations

A second Liberty County man has been arrested this week in a separate investigation involving child sexual abuse material, according to the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.

Kenneth Barski, 26, was arrested on five first-degree felony warrants for possession or promotion of child pornography depicting sexual assault of a child.

The investigation began after Liberty County Sheriff’s Office investigators were assigned a CyberTip through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. According to the Sheriff’s Office, the tip originated with a report submitted by Google concerning files uploaded June 18, 2026, that were suspected of containing child sexual abuse material.

Investigators reviewed the information associated with the CyberTip and confirmed that the files contained images depicting the sexual exploitation of a child, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Using subscriber information, location data and other information developed during the investigation, investigators identified a Liberty County residence and developed Barski as a suspect.

A search warrant was obtained and executed at the residence. During the search, investigators reportedly found electronic devices belonging to Barski that contained additional images and videos depicting the sexual abuse and exploitation of children.

Based on evidence recovered during the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office obtained five warrants charging Barski with possession or promotion of child pornography depicting sexual assault of a child under Texas Penal Code 43.26(d)(3)(B). Each charge is a first-degree felony.

The warrants were entered into the statewide system, and Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol troopers subsequently located and arrested Barski. He was transported to the Liberty County Jail and booked on the charges.

Barski’s arrest marks the second arrest this week stemming from separate child sexual abuse material investigations conducted by the agency.

The Sheriff’s Office also credited its partnerships with DPS, the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and other law enforcement agencies working to identify offenders and protect children from exploitation.

  1. They say abusers never change so I am in favor or chemical castration. If that fails actual physical castration is the only solution I see.
