The Liberty Elks Lodge is preparing to host its 21st Annual Jingle Bell Ball, a free holiday celebration designed especially for children and adults with special needs and disabilities.

Registration opens Saturday, Oct. 10, for the event, which will be held Saturday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Liberty Elks Lodge, 650 Wallisville Road in Liberty.

This year’s festivities will include visits from Santa and Mrs. Claus, elves and Frosty the Snowman, along with music provided by a DJ, dancing, food and plenty of holiday fun.

The event is completely free, but participation is limited to the first 200 people who register. Each registered participant may bring up to two guests.

Organizers emphasize that the Jingle Bell Ball is specifically intended for individuals with developmental, intellectual, physical or other significant disabilities who require additional support. Because space is limited, registration should be reserved for those individuals rather than people experiencing temporary injuries, routine medical conditions or age-related limitations.

Participants who register by Nov. 16 will receive a Jingle Bell Ball T-shirt and Christmas gift. Registration will be available through the Jingle Bell Ball Liberty Elks Facebook page.

The annual celebration is made possible through the generosity of community members, businesses and volunteers. Donations and volunteer assistance are welcome.

Anyone interested in volunteering, making a donation or obtaining additional information may contact Margie Poole at 936-334-2678, Tammy Wingfield at 936-334-6359, Amy Duffel at 936-346-2906 or Vernon Poole at 281-507-2796.
