Clifton Ray Whitton, age 60 of Cleveland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born June 2, 1958 in Cleveland, Texas to parents Clifton Clarence and Mary Ellen Whitton. He is preceded in death by his father, grandson, Payton Lane Currie; and nephews, Robert Eric Whitton and Jason Whitton.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Ellen Whitton; children, C.J. Whitton and his mother Lori Johnson, Cody Ray Zeagler and Kristy Marie Currie; brother, Robert Whitton and wife Barbara; sisters, Karen Kirkland and husband Owen, Debbie K. White and husband Denny; grandchildren, Caleb Ray Whitton, Kayla Zeagler, Connor Zeagler, Corbin Zeagler, Creeson Zeagler, Kearston Gooch and Amber Currie; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2018 at Pace Stancil Funeral Home, Cleveland, Texas. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Bear Creek Baptist Church, Cleveland, Texas. Interment will follow at Montague Cemetery, Cleveland, Texas.
