Residents who live within the boundaries of Cleveland ISD are invited to attend a community meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the boardroom of the Cleveland ISD Administration Building, 316 E. Dallas St., Cleveland.
“Cleveland Independent School District is conducting a search for a new superintendent of schools. Dr. Darrell Myers is retiring after 33 years of service in public schools and the Board of Trustees, with the assistance from the Texas Association of School Boards, have begun work to select a new superintendent for our district,” School Board President Chris Wood wrote in a letter to the community. “As part of that process, the TASB search consultant would like to meet with various groups to begin developing a profile of the leadership qualities desired in the new superintendent.”
There will be two meetings scheduled for Feb. 5. The first, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., is for Cleveland ISD employees. The second meeting, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., is for the community.
Those who are unable to attend the meeting still have an opportunity to weigh-in on the selection process by providing input on a questionnaire that is posted on the district’s website, https://clevelandisd.org/31326?articleID=28837.
For more information, call the district’s administration office at 281-592-8717.
