Liberty woman critically injured in accident on FM 563

A young woman from Liberty was involved in a major accident around 9 p.m. Tuesday on FM 563 in Liberty, according to Sgt. Rob Willoughby with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

She was traveling northbound on FM 563 when she lost control of her Chevy Trailblazer on a curve. She left the roadway and struck a tree with the front of her vehicle, which caused it to partially roll and strike another tree on the driver’s side.

The young lady was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

The accident is being investigated by DPS troopers. Liberty Fire Department responded to the scene to assist.
