Wyatt Rushing, III, 41, of Dayton, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 27, 2019, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on December 27, 1977, in Channelview, Texas to Sherry and Wyatt Rushing, Jr. and graduated from Channelview High School in 1997.
Wyatt was a Lineman for CenterPoint Energy in Baytown, where he worked for more than 18½ years. He was a hardworking man who was very dedicated to his faith in the Lord. Wyatt had an infectious smile and a great laugh. He never met a stranger and was a friend to many.
Wyatt was an avid outdoorsman who pursued many interests, some of which included off-roading in his Polaris RZR and a huge passion for hunting. He was a member of many hunting and gun clubs including DNA (Dirt Nap Affliction) and C&R Guns. Wyatt also enjoyed martial arts, even earning his black belt in karate. He had an ecliptic taste in music and found it to be the best medicine. Wyatt’s favorite hobby of all was spending time with his loving family and his countless friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Wyatt leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents Sherry and Wyatt Rushing, Jr. of Dayton; his siblings Christy Osburn and husband Kelley of Channelview, Summer Neal and husband Joe of Tarkington and Brandon Welch and wife Stacey of Surprise, Arizona; his nieces and nephews Logan, Tiffany, Julia, William, Tyler, Zachary, Jewel, Carson and Savannah; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
A celebration of Wyatt’s life will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Kingwood Church of Christ located at 2901 Woodland Hills Drive, Kingwood, Texas 77339.
