Fatality reported at house fire in Shepherd

One person is dead and another is hospitalized after fire broke out at a residence on the 100 block of S. Hill Ave. in Shepherd on Sunday.

According to the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office, fire is believed to have started in a faulty electrical outlet.

Updates will be posted as new information becomes available. The names of the deceased and the hospitalized person have not been released at this time.
