Kenneth David Friend

Kenneth David Friend, 76, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at his residence. He was born on April 21, 1974, in Clarksville, Arkansas, to the late Kenneth Clarence and Mary Helen Jenkins Friend. David attended Galena Park High School He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

David pursued many interests, some of which included watching tv, remodeling houses, and woodworking. His favorite past time was to be out on the lake fishing or in the woods hunting. David was very caring and always considerate of others. He found his greatest joy come from spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his bother Bobby Friend; and his sisters Louise Parker, Ruth Culverson, and Francine Friend. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his beloved wife Yolanda of fifty-nine years; his sons David Allen Friend of Dayton, Kenneth Perry Friend of Dayton, Vance Lee Friend of Dayton, and Christopher Troy Friend of Dayton; his grandsons David Wayne Friend and wife Tiffany of Dayton, and Michael Perry Friend of Dayton; his four Great-grandchildren; his numerous siblings; his many nieces and nephews; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.

It was David’s wish to be cremated and to be remembered by all as the kind, loving and funny man that he was.
