Sherry Taack-Pearce was born in Harris, Texas, on Nov. 24, 1936, to parents, Grady Payne and Mary Davis Moore Payne. She entered Heaven’s Gates on July 15, 2024, at the age of 87.
Sherry worked as a secretary at the family’s church for many years. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed spending time with all her family. Sherry will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband of over 30 years, George B. Taack, Jr; and son, Shelby Taack.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Roy Pearce; son, Codie Taack and his wife Margaret Taack; daughter, Trichel Harris and her husband Allen Harris; stepson, Tracy Wilson and his wife Karen Wilson, and their children, Regan, Reide, and Laurel; grandchildren, Justin Taack and his wife Mehgan Taack, and their children, Hattie and Crosby Taack; Braden Taack; Spencer Taack and his wife Kirsi Taack.
Sherry is also survived by Roy’s children, Glen Pearce and his wife Jerrye Pearce, Ivan Pearce and his wife Cherryl, Keith Pearce and his wife Karen Pearce, Rex Pearce and his wife Suzanne Pearce; 10 step grandchildren and numerous great, and great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel from 1-2 PM.
The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 2 PM with Pastor Heath Powers officiating. Burial will follow in the Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Justin Taack, Braden Taack, Spencer Taack, Tracy Wilson, Steven Pearce, and Ethan Pearce. An Honorary Pallbearer will be Alexander Pearce. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in Sherry Taack-Pearce’s name may be made to the RiverPointe Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1425, Conroe, TX 77305.
