Owners, chamber members, and local officials cut the ribbon at the grand opening of 146 Sign Co. on Wednesday, June 4, in Dayton. The new business is located on SH 146 next to Cowboy Concrete.

The Dayton Chamber of Commerce and 146 Sign Co. held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday, June 4, to celebrate the official grand opening of 146 Sign Co., located on SH 146 just south of Dayton next to Cowboy Concrete.

The event began with a prayer for the business and its owners, led by a local pastor, asking for success, safety and prosperity for the team behind the new venture.

Owned by Joe and Misty Moreno, along with Sherry Jannise and her son, Keith “Bubba” Jannise, 146 Sign Co. represents a major new undertaking in the community. The business is headquartered in a striking black building that houses multiple workstations and professional-grade printing equipment for producing a wide range of signage.

Inside, employees design and create an impressive array of 32 different sign types, including acrylic signs, banners, building signs, channel letters, decals, marquee signs, retractable banners, vinyl lettering, vehicle wraps, wall graphics and window signs. The business offers signage solutions for nearly every kind of organization, event or commercial purpose.

Though the ribbon cutting marked the formal grand opening, 146 Sign Co. has been serving clients since January. In just a few months, it has already built a solid customer base that includes Performance Truck, Energy Transfers, First Security Bank, SR Tilly Builders and Bechtel, among others.

The company currently employs four people, owners say plans are in place to expand the team as demand continues to grow.
